Sleep

Sleep is key to regulating inflammation, the immune system, and tissue repair. For this reason, sleep disturbances are associated with many of the issues for which patients seek our help, such as stress, headaches, neck pain, or bruxism. Sleep disorders take many forms: difficulty falling or staying asleep (insomnia), breathing problems during sleep (obstructive sleep apnea), or movements during sleep (sleep-related bruxism). We evaluate each case as a multidisciplinary team, involving specialists in clinical neurophysiology and dentistry.

When is it advisable to assess sleep?

Sleep influences pain, inflammation, and recovery. We assess its relationship to your symptoms, working in collaboration with the fields of clinical neurophysiology and dentistry.

  • Difficulty falling asleep or frequent awakenings
  • Feeling unrefreshed on waking
  • Snoring or pauses in breathing noticed by someone else
  • Grinding your teeth at night
